Manuel de la Peña

Manuel de la Peña is an open source software engineer at Docker on the Clients & SDKs team, where he focuses on developer tooling and maintains Testcontainers for Go. He’s spent two decades across the software lifecycle — from public sector engineering in Castilla-La Mancha to roles in consulting, product companies, and open source. Previously, he worked on core engineering at Liferay, led QA for Liferay Cloud, and supported engineering productivity for Elastic Observability.

Before joining Docker, Manuel contributed to Testcontainers at AtomicJar. He helps teams ship with confidence by improving quality through automation and testing. Based in Toledo, Spain, he organizes GDG Toledo and speaks at international events. You’ll find him online as “mdelapenya.”
