Docker’s security team has broad responsibility for all of Docker’s open source projects and infrastructure. We work across all of engineering to design and implement secure services, libraries, and frameworks to support the entirety of the Docker Ecosystem.


  • Implement secure frameworks, libraries, and services
  • Review designs, architectures, and implementations
  • Act as a security subject matter expert and evangelist to Docker contributors
  • Design usable secure solutions
  • Threat modeling to educate developers and drive design decisions


  • Obsession with shipping.
  • Familiarity with some (not necessarily all) topics such as:
    • Cryptographic Design and Implementation
    • Kernel Exploitation and Remediation
    • Micro Service Architectures
    • Widely used crypto protocols (TLS, GPG, SSH)
    • Linux Containerization (namespaces, cgroups, capabilities)
    • Authentication and Authorization
    • Code Signing
    • Network Security
  • Knowledge of the state-of-the-art in security protocols, design, and threat landscape
  • Start-up experience preferred
  • Computer Science degree preferred
