New to Agentic Development: Laying Your AI Governance Foundation
Coding agents are already showing up in your developers’ workflows, and most orgs end up governing them after the fact. This session is about getting ahead of it. It’s for the platform and admin teams who own the foundation everything else sits on. We’ll cover what agentic development actually is, why it’s a governance question before it’s a workflow one, and the basic admin controls you set first: identity through SSO and SCIM so agent-era access is something you grant, audit, and revoke, plus the org-level controls in Docker AI Governance for who can use what. Next session we build Sandboxes and policies on top of this. Today is about laying the foundation, so that when your teams do reach for agents, the guardrails are already there.
What we’ll cover:
- What agentic development is: where agents show up, and why it’s a governance question before it’s a workflow one.
- Why identity comes first: SSO and SCIM so agent-era access is granted, audited, and revoked like everything else.
- The admin controls in Docker AI Governance: who can use what, provisioning and deprovisioning, and the audit trail.
- Live demo: wiring SSO and SCIM and walking the org-level controls in the admin console.
- Your next 48 hours: the short admin checklist to lay the foundation for one org.
- What’s next: Session 2, where we stand up Sandboxes and policies on top of this.
