Ricardo Alberto Perez Candelas
Ricardo Alberto Pérez Candelas is a Solutions Architect and Systems Engineer with over a decade of experience in software development, DevOps, and SRE. He specializes in containers, Kubernetes (OpenShift/ARO), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud security practices on AWS and Azure, leading enterprise modernization projects at scale.
Since 2017, Ricardo has organized Docker meetups in Mexico City and has been a speaker at several workshops, sharing best practices around containerization, automation, and DevOps culture. He also co-hosts the Enchiladas DevOps podcast, a space dedicated to making technical topics accessible and building community across Latin America.
Beyond tech, Ricardo is a professional luthier and founder of Bujía Project Music, a workshop for guitar and bass repair, customization, and live band recordings. He also runs a motorcycle workshop, applying the same principles of precision, customization, and engineering to mechanics. As a punk rock bassist and community organizer, Ricardo blends engineering and creativity, reflecting his philosophy: build, automate, and share — in both tech and life.
