Docker is growing quickly. We need top-notch Infrastructure and DevOps engineers help us build and support an array of world-class product and service offerings. The current focus of the team is to support the rapid growth of the Docker Hub and Registry along with many additional services that are planned for the future.
Some of the best Linux programmers in the world work for us or contribute to our open-source projects regularly. The technology we’re working on is having an ever-expanding impact on how software is developed and distributed. If you’d like to be a part of this historic time in Docker’s growth, please don’t hesitate to speak with us!
- Coding chops. Docker is a product made by and for developers. It’s important for members of the Infrastructure Team to be competent programmers in order to interact with other engineering groups and for automating system tasks.
- Linux Fundamentals. The more knowledge you have of Linux the better. System calls, iptables rules and kernel features are the shoulders on which the Docker daemon stands.
- Networking. In-depth understanding of TCP/IP stack, hands on experience with container networking, good grasp application requirements on networking stack such as DNS and Load-balancing. Working knowledge on Virtual networking and SDN.
Docker is the leader in the containerization market, combining an enterprise-grade container platform with world-class services to give developers and IT alike the freedom to build, manage and secure applications without the fear of technology or infrastructure lock-in. Today’s organizations are under pressure to digitally transform their business but are constrained by a diverse portfolio of applications, clouds and premises-based infrastructures. Docker unlocks the potential of every organization with a container platform that brings traditional applications and microservices built on Window, Linux and mainframe into an automated and secure supply chain, advancing dev to ops collaboration. As a result, organizations report a 300 percent improvement in time to market, while reducing operational costs by 50 percent. Inspired by open source innovation and a rich ecosystem of technology and go-to-market partners, Docker’s container platform and services are used by millions of developers and more than 550 Global 10K commercial customers including ADP, GE, MetLife, PayPal and Societe Generale.
