Docker, the world's leading software container platform, is seeking a Senior Office Manager who is excited to be a key contributor to our team. This role is based out of our HQ in San Francisco, CA.

This critical role will oversee the traditional aspects of the office (office leases, vendor management, catering, maintenance, shipping, security) as well as the numerous events, all hands meetings and programs that drive our culture. This role will formulate and monitor company facility standards. You will be responsible for maintaining budgets and long-range facilities plans based on company growth and future needs.  You must have the ability to think high level but not be afraid to roll up your sleeves and be an individual contributor. You will have the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization in order to gather feedback, assess needs and execute projects in both a timely and budget conscious manner. You will take accountability for working with the Management Team in creating and maintaining a safe, productive and fun workplace.


  • Manage office planning for San Francisco headquarters and other offices worldwide.

  • Responsible for vendor management of all facilities and office related vendors.

  • Manage and coordinate all hands meetings; assist in planning and physically setting up and breaking down events

  • Manage, budget and report on facilities related spend.

  • Manage all maintenance service requests and ensure tasks are completed in a timely fashion by assessing issues and determining whether or not to involve building staff or vendor support.

  • Coordinate security staffing and disaster recovery plan.

  • Troubleshoot building issues, call vendors when needed.

  • Coordinate employee moves/adds/changes.

  • Maintain OSHA, IIPP, and safety standards and compliance.

  • Availability and commitment after hours or pre-hours for moves, special events and any other activity that require company supervision

  • Ensure that our office is clean and presentable at all times of the year, and with an eye for detail.

  • Manage direct reports across facilities, front desk, and internal events.


  • 5+ years of facility/office management supporting an organization of 300+ employees required.

  • Experience in lease, facilities and office services management.

  • A sense of priorities, ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.

  • Highly adaptable, comfortable with change and ambiguity, capable of quickly rallying teams and resources around key issues.

  • Ability to interact with all levels of personnel and management.
  • Must be driven, energetic and have the willingness and desire to grow with the company.

  • Excellent computer skills including Windows, Microsoft Office, Google Applications, and JIRA

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field is a plus.
